Charleston, SC -- YEScarolina's 11th Annual State Business Plan Competition was held at the College of Charleston School of Business on Thursday, October 13, 2022. The grand finale showcased five standout young entrepreneurs from across the state who competed to win seed money for their businesses during this Shark Tank-style entrepreneurship competition.

The business plan competition, presented by Engaging Creative Minds, began at 6pm and was attended by students representing high school entrepreneurship classes from across the state. Through two rounds of competition and with 26 business plan entries, the top five were selected and celebrated last June. All five students were given an opportunity to work with a business mentor to prepare them for the October competition. This grand finale showcased the best in the state and each student had an opportunity to present their business plan for a chance to win seed money to launch their venture.

At 7:30pm, the winners were announced: Colin Shedler of Ashley Ridge High School in Summerville, SC, Erin Wilson of Georgetown High School in Georgetown, SC, Troy Gallant of Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston, Bryson Sanders of Westside High School in Anderson, SC, and Ayden Alewine of Westside High School of Anderson, SC. They presented on stage in the Wells Fargo auditorium, in front of an esteemed panel of judges made up of business leaders that included founder of Creativ Social + Marketing, Simone Bruderer; COO Baker Motor Company, Dixon Dickens; founder of Tywanza Sanders® Legacy Foundation, Felicia Sanders; and CEO MMortal Marketing, Marcus Williams.
